I disagree big time. My surgeon requires a 2 or 3 week liquid pre op diet. I did a 3 week one and lost 23lbs in 3weeks! From tuesday that I started to that Friday (3days later) I lost 9lbs.

The liquid diet is only for getting you ready for surgery and for healing after surgery.

You can not live the rest of your life on a liquid diet. That is not realistic. You need to learn to eat regular food in a healthy manner.

No more crazy diet plans, thats how I got fat.

Time to eat like skinny ppl do.

Best of luck

solid food Protein sticks with you, allowing you to feel full longer. They tell us not to drink 30 min before and at least 30 min after eating protein first, veggies second. If you are drinking your protein, it does not stay in your pouch as long as solid food does. You may need more fills also. Your doctor's office is a good resource, especially if you are snacking between meals.

remember oprah?

she lost alot of weight (quickly) on a liquid diet

once she started eating again (and most likely more calories than she burned off), she gained it all back...maddygrams was 100% correct.

eat to lose weight

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
