Pictures.. yes. I had it in my head at 50 lbs I would post a before/after picture and retake my measurements. So, stay tooned ...

Good Morning!

I am in the middle of cooking and cleaning, just took a 5 minute break! I want to get it all done early so I can sit down and watch the Mav's game this afternoon and not work all day long! My supper is part done, going to get the rest at least to the point that I can just turn the burner on!

It was a great time at the Harley show, it was in Corith and it is about an hours drive for us. We almost didn't go because of the weather, but at the last minute decided to go. (I am glad we did-tee hee) You always meet some nice people at the Harley things and yesterday was no exception. We met and talked with a couple from Plano that was really nice. On our way home, about half way, it started to pour. We were up on the highway, so we pulled off and took cover for a while, but some a$$hole pulled past me and showered me from head to toe with a big puddle. I even had Water in my boots (which I just had shined at the show). Anyway, it eased up some and we took off and made it home.

They took some pictures at Harley, so when we go back I will see if I can get some. On the way over there I told DH I forgot the camera, and he said too late, we can't go back now.

We went to the party afterwards, and had a great time. Lots of good food and drinks. I ate my first sandwich type thing since I was banded and it tasted soooooo goooood. I might be in trouble now that I did that! :help:

Well, DH just came in and said he was starving so I guess I best get him some food before he melts away!:mad:

We are overcast in the weather department over here in Southern Ca. I plan on clearing a pathway to my front door -- spring cleaning BIG TIME :mad:

Yesterday during that mega neighborhood garage sale I found everything except the dress shirts that I was hunting down -- but discovered one beauty at the Goodwill.... thats one down and one to go! I'm pushing my boys very much this weekend, they have State testing next week and my darlings are already SO brain dead it isn't even funny. The gal that trains me has counted the remaining working days...... 33 to go!

Hi everyone!

I just re read through all the latest posts, and HOW did I miss the part about Betty winning 1st place for her bike???????

That's fantastic! I think you've posted one picture with you and the bike, but another wouldn't hurt.

I've had two headache-free days in a row...Sat. and Sun. That's good news, right! The Kite Fest was fun...we had a blast working the fishing booth (the kind where the kid throws a line with a clothes pin over a shower curtain, and someone back there pins a prize on). At the silent auction, my sis bid on "Headmaster for a Day" for my DD, and won it, so now DD gets to be Headmaster one day, and her friend gets to be the secretary...someone should issue a warning or something! Right now, my DH and DD are at Horsemanship Camp with the Girl Scouts...I've had 6 hours of just me-time...of course, I spent it catching up on laundry and cleaning my closet, but it sure feels good to catch up on something! I'm leaving in a little while to meet DH and DD and my dad's for them to clean up, then off to a church thing...DD's choir is singing at it, and we're having barbeque and all that. Whew! Busy, but fun stuff!

Donna, I like the writing you posted, where'd you get it? Or did you write it?

Eileen, thank you for posting the so-great compliment to the NJ Board on the compliment thread...I'm glad to see that you were mentioned specifically, because you are the BOMB, girl! Betty, too! I am pretty sure some other people on here were listed, as well they should be! I also think of all of us a sisters, or a circle of loving friends, and this board has offered the very best support in our lapband journey, and the bigger journey of life of anywhere else...what a blessing to find you all here! Cindy - Glad to hear the headaches are finally giving you a little break. Gosh it is so hard to consentrate with a bad headache. It sounds like you had such a fun day!

Donna - Did you get those pictures taken yet? Waiting to see that before and after. :biggrin1: Nice poem, thanks for sharing it!

Patty - I need to get my butt moving and have my sale. My DH keeps telling me he knows I won't, but I am going to do it! I am, I am, I am! Hope you got lots of bargains!

Kat - Did you get the painting and decorating done? Wow, that is a lot of work, I enjoy the after of the whole thing, but always dread the before and doing part, and I enjoy painting too. :)

Eileen - Did you get all your cooking done? I started dinner early so I could rest all afternoon, but didn't get any rest at all, and with everything going didn't even get to eat dinner till 8:00! So much for my planning. I hope yours went better! Are you still planning on getting another fill? What are you up to now? I can't remember if you have the large or small band?

I have been eating all the wrong stuff, I did good all week, then blew it this weekend!

Pat - Where are you at girlfriend? I know out enjoying the nice weather! Check in with us huh? :D

Sherry - Have you got that bike all painted yet? I am so waiting to see your pictures!

Becky - How was the beer bash? Did you ride your bike to it?

Mary - I think about you everyday, I know how hard it is to be going through all you're going throug right now. Just hang in there, life really does get better after it is all over with. Just stick to your guns and don't let him make you agree to anything you don't want to or aren't sure of. Now, put that pretty smile on that pretty face of yours!:biggrin1:

Anne - How's that new band doing? Is it the same size and all of your old one? I have heard a lot of people say when they got a different band it was really different for them, can you tell any difference with the two?

Well, my clock says I have to quit visiting and get my clothes on for work. I would much rather stay here and visit with y'all today, but I wouldn't like my paycheck when I got it! Guess I will mosey into work, by the time I get there I will be wide awake and ready to go! (yeah right)

Thanks y'all for the nice comments about me winning. I will post a picture of my trophy when I get a chance. It's really pretty, big with a gold star on top! I have been looking at the Harley book, trying to decide what I want to get with my money! I am going to give DH half of it for helping me get it so nice and shiney! He helped me clean it up a lot!

Betty, yep, I got my cooking if you will, done LOL but my house still looks like chit. I clean friday - sunday and sunday night its like WTF happened? lol, life happened thats what... gotta love it. Yes I'm going for another fill... I have 1.75 in my 4 cc band... me want MORE!!! just a tad. I'm gonna stop at 2.0 (well I'm gonna try to anyway). I can eat a decent amount still and bread, chicken, gooey stuff... no probelmo' Whats whoopin my ass is the picking inbetween... I'm hungry 2 hours after I eat and yes...thats even if I just eat Protein and no, I'm not drinking water... fill time eh LOL.

Garage saling on Saturday made me exhausted.... felt like I walked 4 miles! I ended up taking the twins to Goodwill for dress shirts and now I need to find new ties.

Eileen: going for another fill eh? Lets keep those fingers crossed and those nibbles inbetween will be just be a memory :kiss2: Be a good girl.

Pat: where are you my dear, I'm missing your posts!

Betty: bring on the toothpick eye holders.... cold and dreary here in CA.

Cindy: Does drinking Water help with those headaches? At school I'm only allowed to give the kids an ice pack -- can't even remove a splinter, Ice the ultimate cure-all!

Now that I have completed all my requirements, I guess a letter will be coming soon. I'm getting kind of nervous.... more anxiousness than excitement. I guess I could make a phone call, but I'm not feeling very brave at the moment. Lets just see what happens toward the end of the week.

Good Morning all! At work, but wanted to say Happy Monday!!!

I agree with Betty... wanted to stay in bed also!! Was going to get up and go for a walk... ya sure!!! It Didn't happen......

I Did do laps in the pool yesterday after lounging on the beach. Ate left overs for dinner from the other night and DH and I went for a long bike ride to watch the sunset. It was so beautiful.

When we were in the elevator going to our condo, DH informed me that we went over 4 miles and I could still breath!!!! Yahoo!

Hey Folks... Late lunch today! Busy, busy, busy... Such a dramatic change from the weekend - which was properly lazy. Nothing on the calendar and just spent the whole thing relaxing with the DH. The weather was a little dicey for going to the Faire - so we stayed in.

Mary - glad to hear you have found an attorney to work your case. Good Luck! Glad you had a good weekend!

Kat - cool - we get to see your face. We like the Avatars around here. Hope you had "fun" painting. All I ask is that you not leave a permanent foot print on my @$$! :]

Well, that 3 pounds is just going to mess with me... up down on, off - grrr. So, today, I am eating lite cheese and drinking lots of water. And tonight - we return to the gym - for the first time in who knows how long. If I can't get any results with PROPER eating and exercise - it's another fill for me!!

Bean - You are right...work sucks especially MONDAYS lol. I just got a new hire and I have another one starting in two weeks but, WTHeck...they are both for data entry? Man I need some AR folks so we can "bring in the money" for the client. I guess those will be coming next week. Ohhhh lordy, new employees, new worries, extra training, more work for quite some time but, once trained yippee. We'll see how it goes.

Betty - I don't have my bike put together yet. DH just finished polishin up my gas tank and it sure is purrrrrrrrty. He's painting the part just under and behind my bike seat and we're still waiting for the side covers to come in. Dang JCWhitney was suppose to ship it 5/5 but, now they are saying 5/29 grrrrrrrrr. I didn't get my windshield yet either. My mom isn't happy about that. That was her surprise gift for me. (She was so excited I got my license. Now she's studying for her permit ) Congrats on that winning! I bet your bike looks awesome. What are ya gonna get for your bike with your winnins?

Donna - Boy...I'm jealous on the beach time. I just love the ocean but, we don't get to go too often. It hasn't been warm enough here to even open my pool heh heh. I'm told swimming can sometimes make your band feel tight...have you found that? Hell, I can barely eat and keep it down right now never mind if it gets tighter.

Patty - I'm sending good thoughts your way for a happy letter to come to you. I hope you're approval arrives soon and you can make plans for your little vacation My mom and I used to go to yard/garage sales almost every weekend. It was fun when you were trying to find a "specific" item...it gave us something to hunt for.

Mary - Glad to hear you had a good weekend. Hope you have time to let us know what exciting things you did

Cindy - I hope you're still Migraine free right now. By the way my chiro wrote me back and said Reiki definately helps with Migraines. You should try to find a Reiki master if you can. It's worth a shot! I'm actually going to be taking the course so I can become a Reiki master as well. I've been told by a few people that my hands have a healing touch...sooooo why not test it. My chiro says I'll be great at it...one thing though....I'm going to need to learn not to take on others pain while doing it because I'm already prone to migraines. Hopefully this will help me out as well.

Kat - I hope the plans for the 50th ann. party are going well. Have you ordered from oriental trading at all? They have awesome stuff for parties like that. They have lots of theme stuff too especially for luau items.

Eilene - I have a 10cm band and it holds 4ccs. I have anywhere from 1 to 1.5 in there says the surgeon so I say it's 1.25. Dang...I"m due for a fill on June 14th. If things keep going the way they are I won't be able to even drink Water if I'm any tighter. Grrrr it's so weird how finicky this band is right now. One day I can eat everything in the cabinet the next I can barely get one egg down without it coming back at me. This morning I had my one egg omelet like I have for the last month and BINGO it was a no go. grrrrrrrrr now I'm getting so confused because I really thought I ate slow enough. I'd be happy if the scale was moving because I can't eat much but, my body doesn't like that at all and HOLDS on to the weight like it's a famine. OH well.....something's gotta give soon aye? Isnt' it amazing that even if you eat very little the scale doesn't wanna budge then the days you think...oh my it's gotta be up...it actually went down. Why? lol

Well...I took my son out driving today. We went to the cemetary because he can't kill anyone there heh heh. Plus the turns are tighter so he is learning how to go slow and make them. Whew a few times he stepped on the gas and I could feel the hairs turning gray..POP....poof....pop....*tink lol

Had my cards read this weekend....I"m boring lol. Nothing exciting happenin in my life because for the first time in a long time I'm actually very happy with things and not so worried. That's taken only 42 years to happen :purplebananna: At least it did though. I'm a lucky woman. Totally Karma and I truly believe that. I do have to work on regaining my spiritual self though she says and to continue to heal after this surgery not so much physically but, mentally so I can release the weight. So peeps I'm told we should say I wish this weight would drop off but say.....Weight.....you are released from my body. Heck if it works I'll let ya know. I mean I'm already carrying a bag of rocks in my bra hahahah. OH yes we've added to the citrene now. I have a tigers eye, rose quarts, angel coin, and a light blue I forget the name. Some peeps may think this is weird and that's ok but, I believe there is more to healing than medicine :xena_banana: so it's worth a try. (As long as I remember to take the rocks out before stepping on the scale hahahahahaha)

Eileen - glad you are doing better from last week. Hopefully when your body gets back in balance so will your hair. I went through that last year. It took about 3 months before it slowed down. I upped my protien intake.

Donna - I wish I was closer to the ocean but I am lucky if I make it to a stream. I am jealous

Cindy - glad you are Migraine free - I know how good the pain free are.. I pray they will keep going for you..

Betty Congrats to you.. I won $102.00 from a radio station on Thursday - gotta go pick up my dinero tomorrow. That will go for a bill or 2.

Sorry if I missed anyone I am trying to hurry - I am dyeing my hair - going with copper Red Auburn I think not quite sure.

Friday I took the boys shopping for new shoes and then we came home and just relaxed - I was gonna take them to dinner and a movie but we got side tracked shopping and all.

Sat ~ Their dad called and said he was running late. Yeah Right

Anyway he did show up and took the boys and then I did more running around - Went to a benefit and took one sip of beer and I tell you I was buzzed for the rest of the night and with a headache to boot. Well it got better once the boys came home.

Sunday - Church and of course the boys went again with dad. Get this

He calls me up after an hour of having them and complains that he took them to see his apt. My 8 yr old does not like it and did not approve. I told my ex he needs to get a better handle on who is boss with the kids. He also through in he was not going to be alone forever and I needed to deal with that. Humm how did we go from talking about the kids to him hooking up with someone else. I just laughed out loud and told him to get a grip. If he found someone one day that was the best thing that could possible happen ~ then he hung up on me.. Ha ha Buddy

Anyway once the kids were back with me all was good in my world.

Well better scoot and get this washed out of my hair.
