Could I get some examples please of what makes up a full liquid diet. The sample that my Dr. gave me were Clear Liquids except for the Protein shakes.I was going shopping this weekend to get ready. I was just curious what "full" meant to everyone else. Then I was going to call the nut on Monday and check. For example they said broth but no mention of cream Soups, I thought that was a "full" liquid? Thanks

My Dr.'s orders said to strain the cream Soups during the liquid stage. You could add some powdered Protein to them for more nutrients. I would also strain some spicy soups because I got so tired of sweet Protein Shakes I wanted savory tastes. Flavored waters and I added a little juice to them to help with energy.

According to my dr a full liquid diet includes any Soup or pudding that has been strained, yogurt with nothing added like granola or fruit, Protein Shakes etc. Clear liquids are things like broth and Jello anything u can see through.
