priceless2010 1 Posted May 21, 2013 Hi I'm on day 14 post op and there is just a faint tenderness enough to remind me I had surgery. I'm able to sleep on both sides' date=' stomach and back had my C-Section 18 months ago so It does get better.[/quote']
kristinc1985 111 Posted May 21, 2013 I had a c-section six years before my band. Not sure if it had to do with my level of pain or not. I also had my gallbladder removed about ten years before my band surgery. I actually think having those 2 stomach surgeries prior helped me prepare for the pain of my banding. I don't recall it being very painful, but I certainly did live on liquid vicodin for about a week. Hehe. Not sure if it was for pain or fun. (Or both?) I was pretty clouded. I can say that a year later my port is tender still from time to time. Usually only if I've done something really strenuous. Don't worry though, if you're in pain now, it will all go away soon. Chin up!
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted May 21, 2013 The first 48hrs is the worst. Every day after that gets better and better.I did think that the port was going to stay tender for as long as I was banded, was very bummed. It took the full 6wks for the tenderness to go away. Thanks to great friends here, they kept me reassured. 3 Sony369, PrettyThick1 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Hotstuff 16 Posted May 21, 2013 I had my surgery yesterday and where they put my port is very painful. I've had 2 c sections and its just as painful. Is that normal? It's very normal to have pain at the site of your port. I noticed after my surgery that I could not lay on the side that my port was located. Today is actually my 6month Surgiversary, and I can do squats, situps, you name it,I can do it. So take one day at a time, and enjoy the journey. 1 leannel90 reacted to this

fineasever 4 Posted May 23, 2013 I had my surgery yesterday and where they put my port is very painful. I've had 2 c sections and its just as painful. Is that normal? Hi Laurie I had my surgery on Monday 5/20 and I am not very sore where the port is but it looks a little swollen. I am going through a phase now wondering if made the right decision as to getting banded. I do have back pain though.
bindi 94 Posted May 23, 2013 Hi Laurie! I was banded Monday and the only pain I have is in the port area. Very sore. But better than yesterday.
twflorida 1 Posted May 23, 2013 I had surgery Tuesday. Was sore yesterday, but today it seems to be much more gas pressure than soreness. Should I hold off on switching to milk based Protein supplement, and just stay with the Water based? Will that help with the gas pressure?
bindi 94 Posted May 23, 2013 I was told gas x and walk as much as you can ! I was lucky and have not had any gas pain. Hang in there
