KAATNS 1,473 Posted May 18, 2013 I would think it would be okay. Did your doctor advise what to eat post-op? Best wishes to you.
hockeymother 178 Posted May 18, 2013 Yes, I am supposed to eat Soup broths and Protein Shakes. But I'm worried that the won ton soup broth would be too high in sodium.
gowalking 10,790 Posted May 18, 2013 it is high in sodium. don't overdo and you'll be fine. 1 hockeymother reacted to this
drehn88 251 Posted May 18, 2013 I think most Soup broth is high in sodium. At least it sure tastes high. I think you're ok. I bet it tasted good. 1 mrsto reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted May 18, 2013 I think having something like won ton Soup broth is a great idea, to have variety during the liquid phase. And I agree that all broths, unless you make them yourself, have a lot of sodium. When I was on full liquids, I got so sick of everything that came in a can, I picked up some ready made soup at the market; strained out the solids and had myself a ball! pjenkinson1970 20 Posted May 18, 2013 When I was post op I ate the hot and sour Soup daily I just added my own low sodium beef broth. It saved me when I was sooo sick of everything else.

dawalsh 919 Posted May 18, 2013 Thanks for the feedback. I'm so new to this and so scared to do something wrong. You guys are so so awesome. I don't know how anyone can go through this new journey without this site.' date='[/quote'] We are all family here because we're all going through the same thing; one of my first foods post op was the broth from won ton Soup. In fact, after being released from the hospital we had a long drive home. We stopped for lunch and went to a Chinese restaurant and I ordered the won ton Soup and gave the won ton noodles to my friend. I felt like it was a treat and I loved it. So it may be high in sodium but it was a clear liquid and I savored even bit of it.
