What do you drive?

Recommended Posts

Jack, all I can tell you is, I'm with you on that. My hubby and I were driving down International Drive in Orlando and saw one of those in red. We couldn't take our eyes off of it. It was surreal. It was like a rig..but a truck..with hot chrome stuff all over it. It was as high as a Rig too. I told him, that thing has to cost around 80k. He said yeah, maybe more. His words..."That sh*#$@t is F$#@&*^n Hot!"

I got me a sweet ride!!! A 2004 White Chevy Tahoe LT, loaded and the kids got the DVD Entertainment System! I love it, except when it comes time to fill the tank....not so great. I highly recommend XM Satellite radio too, it is awesome!!! My husband drives 60 miles everyday to and from work so he has to drive an economical car, 1995 Dodge Stratus.

Teresita,

My Mini cooper is 1.6 liter over head cam, 16-valve inline 4-cyl. engine (115 hp)

The Mini Cooper S comes with a Supercharged, intercooled 1.6 liter overhead cam, 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine (163 hp)

When I ordered my Mini you could only get Automatic Transmission on the Mini Cooper. I don't do manual transmission.

Angelu, My husband is convertible shopping. So far he likes the Lexus hard top convertible and the BMW Z4. He still has more he wants to look at before deciding. What do you recommend 4 seat or 2 seat?

We drive a Grey Ford Ranger (pick up truck), a bright (and I mean bright!!) yellow (called mellow yellow) Suzuki Aeiro...

....AND the cutest lil' scooter called a Honda Jazz (that we actually had to go and get our motorcylce licenses for!!!).

Here's a photo....the other cutie in it is my husband! Not sure if he'll appreciate me slapping up a photo of him for the world to see...but oh well! (I think he is adorable!).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
