Good bye weed

Wow I think my dietitian was right. I can't be getting stoned. The munchies can really ruin a whole day of good eating. Nothing really horrible this time. Some Jerky and nuts. But I know I wasn't really hungry. I think my pot smoking days will be very far and few in the future. Well for awhile anyway.

I have a friend with the same problem. She doesn't seem to realize the impact the munchies have on her daily food goals (wonder why!). Everything in moderation in life.

LOL, yep smoking pot and dieting don't go together. Like oil & Water.

Time to not only lose weight, but to get healthy too. Give your lungs a break too. Plus the money going to pot, will be needed for new clothes.

I was a teen in the 70's, know what your saying. No judgement here!

LOL!! Yeah, I can't imagine smoking and dieting... It would be nearly impossible to stick to a diet. This took me back to my "High" school days Lol. There's no way I could have controlled myself to eat small portions of good quality foods. More like Cheetos, pizza, Doritos, McDonald's and chocolate!! Good luck!!

OMG - I was a total pot head for more years than I'll admit. My first toke was in 1967 when I was 12, and kept going on a daily basis for many years. And the munchies - OMG. I'd plan evenings and weekends on what kind of crap I would pick up; making sure that I had ALL of my medications - LOL.

I've known people that smoke a lot of pot, and don't have the munchie thing. Hard to believe, I know! Anyway, food people would NOT fall into that group.

My suggestion is, if you are a "wake & bake" smoker, try your best to stop it all together. When I finally walked away from the habit years ago, it was one of the best things I did. Looking back, I can't even believe that I did it as long as I did; lived life in a state of "numb". Not the best habit for someone who also has a food issue! But even with all the "stuff" I did in years past, food was, and still is, my #1 drug of choice

Oh no I am not even a daily toker anymore just a couple times a week if that. Now I am not even going to do that for awhile. The weight loss is more important.

There are some WLS doctors that won't do the surgery until you quit pot. It's like sabotaging yourself until u quit altogether. God knows it was one of my favorite things to do once upon a time.

Yeah, THC stays in the system for a long time after you stop; it's stored in the fat cells. Back in the 80s, after I'd stopped smoking for a good 6 weeks, I was given a drug test & it STILL showed up. Unbelievable.....

When I had my psych eval and the Doc asked me if I used any recreational drugs I said, "Yes, about once a month, if that." She said, "I appreciate your honesty but I'm not going to put that in my report. I consider once a month use to be medicinal, not recreational. And I'm telling you this so you don't mention it to anyone else." I had to laugh at that! I was glad to be honest and happier that I was rewarded for it!

Yes I almost learned the hard way when the surgeons got my records from my pcp and I had been honest to my dr they said I may have to undergo a year of monthly drug tests before insurance approved me. Even if I passed. Thank goodness they did not make me

When they take out blood and see where you are at, they will notice drug use. Hopefully your doctor won't terminate his services with you. Please stop the use or you will gain all yoru weight back.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
