JennaSoto 85 Posted May 14, 2013 I know this may be TMI- but I have been having pretty bad diarrhea today. I was banded last Tuesday (5/9) and am still on the clear liquid part of the diet- I switch to mushies tomorrow. Is this common? I am worried about becoming dehydrated- I continue to drink my Water, but feel it is coming out faster than it is going in. Anyone have the same thing at about this point? 1 Maddysgram reacted to this
monique219 13 Posted May 14, 2013 I thought I was the only one !!! I was banded the same day. I was in school today and thought I could hold off until I got home. NOPE. I had to GO. So embarrassing. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

mrsto 2,925 Posted May 14, 2013 It's totally normal......I had it too, and so did many others. You're on liquids only, so there isn't much of anything to bind. Mine did not last more than a couple of days, and I would suggest that if you find that you're having an issue for several days, call your doctor. In a few weeks from now, you may find yourself posting about the reverse problem 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

JennaSoto 85 Posted May 14, 2013 Glad to know it's normal- looking forward to having thin oatmeal for Breakfast tomorrow. If it continues tomorrow I will call my Dr and get his opinion- my followup with him is Wednesday morning (Can't wait to get these staples out!!) 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and Maddysgram reacted to this
Creekwood 702 Posted May 14, 2013 I am a week post-op and I have it occasionally. I am on purée foods and I'd say about half of my BM's have been diarrhea the past couple days. It seems to be pretty normal. Hopefully it goes away soon for all of us! Good luck!! 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and JennaSoto reacted to this

I'm also lactose I tolerant so I thought my Protein shakes would make me go. I had half c of puréed Beans yesterday. I think that's what got me. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Creekwood 702 Posted May 14, 2013 Beans! Great idea Monique. I'll try to puree some tomorrow & see what happens. This may be the reason that I haven't had a probl going. I've been eating refried Beans, sour cream and cheese regularly! Lol 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

If your still having problem you might want to try magnesium citrate. When all else fails that's what I use. You might want to ask your Dr. first though. It's liquid and comes in flavored or non-flavored you can mix with something if I remember correctly. You can also take a little or a lot depending on your needs. Good luck
