I was a little sore the first day I came home from surgery, but if you do a lot of walking, I promise you that will help. I do need to ask someone that has had the surgery if anyone's calve's were hurting? The only soreness on me is my calve's. I stiffen up especially when i get up in the morning!! I am so excited to have had the surgery and can't wait to see the end results!!! Thank You

Could it be from not eating carbs for the past so many weeks? I know when I did Atkins I would get leg cramps a lot. I think it's because you are low in potassium. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I was also banded May 9th. I have felt pretty good. I am sore in my stomach and expected to be but any pain I've had has been caused by the gas that was put in me for surgery. I've walked alot and rocked in rocking chair helps too.

I've been banded now for 4 days and last night me and my husband walked around our house for about an hour!! It felt wonderful!!! Then I woke up this morning with no gas pains at all. I am gonna continue walking twice a day, once in the morning and a lot in the evening!! I really think this is gonna work. Still no appetite, but do take my Vitamins and drink my shakes, and only Clear Liquids for now. Everyday is getting easier and easier!! Can't wait to see the results in a few months!!! :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
