Mandi1441 23 Posted May 8, 2013 Hi everyone, I was wondering about medications post banding. I am on 10 pills a day and was told to take chewable Vitamins and larger pills would have to be crushed. A few of my pills are time released and unable to be crushed. What issues do you guys have, and how have you changed taking your meds? I am hoping not to have to stay on them much longer after surgery, but until then I need some pointers. Thanks! 1 kmbrtn reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted May 8, 2013 Personally, I've never had problems swallowing pills. I would talk to your doctor about the time release ones you can't crush and see if you can try swallowing them. 1 Mandi1441 reacted to this
jewel2013 25 Posted May 8, 2013 Talk to your pharmacist. I had the same and had to use a capsule and break it open. 1 Mandi1441 reacted to this

Mandi1441 23 Posted May 9, 2013 Thanks guys for the responses. I love being able to come here morning, noon, and night when I am worried about something and get information from people that have had the lap band and their experience with the situations. 1 cflick reacted to this
