Creekwood 702 Posted May 8, 2013 I'm sure every doc is different but I also have a two week appointment, BUT I won't get a fill then. It is mainly to check incision and for them to evaluate if I'm ready for soft foods. Then I go back two weeks later (four weeks after surgery) for my first fill. Every doc is different but I know what you mean about being in pain, having a fill is the last thing on my mind right now Lol. I don't even like touching my port incision, it's very sore. But, we will be feeling great in no time!
kll724 3,055 Posted May 8, 2013 some doctors give a small fill with the insert of the lapband. My surgeon gave me my 1st fill at 6 weeks, but my son got fil during his operation. Different strokes for different folks!!!
Anch 52 Posted May 8, 2013 I had 4ccs put in at the time of my operation...and then not a fill until 6 weeks after of 1cc...
emeryhns 30 Posted May 8, 2013 I had my 2 week post op today and received a 3 cc fill and I go back in 2 weeks for a check up and possible fill if I need it. There was 1 cc in my band at surgery but it was removed 24 hrs later, I was having terrible chest pain and a different dr saw me than the dr that did my surgery and here the pain was from a hernia repair that I had but was not warned about the chest pain that was going to come from it. So I currently just have the 3 ccs.
