marfar7 1,533 Posted May 3, 2013 I was literally starving to death within 48 hrs of surgery! I thought the first 4 weeks of liquids was excruciating...it's totally normal to be hungry or not to be. What's "normal" for one isn't necessarily for another. Marci
Jack 855 Posted May 3, 2013 I was also too swollen and couldn't even bear to think of eating. About 7-10 days postOp I did start getting 'hungry'....but it was a lot different sensation than preOp. Sometimes just drinking Water took away 'hunger' for additional hours. I really got into the 6 week no solids routine. Wish I could get BACK into it again in fact. It's delightful to not be so preoccupied with eatingEatingEATING all the time.
petemac85 10 Posted May 3, 2013 I was banded on the April 25th,Thursday. Web Saturday night came, I was starving. On Sunday I went to full liquids and everything got much better. Tell her to try some cream of potato Soup. Eat very slow though.
