Weekend Weight Loss

Recommended Posts

lmao, Vickie, it's seems as though our men are having issues with the changes we are making to ourselves.

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. What do you think? It bothers me. He's tired of me talking to him about how much I feel good about working out everyday...and Water drinking, shakes, he starts to sigh now..

He is still eating junk like burgers, fries..anything he can find but he's eating less, that I noticed. I think he's scared Im going to lose all of this weight and leave him. He says things every now and then like... when I say .."I love you babe" and kiss him, he says.."You better!"

Weird.

I dont know telly but it aggrivates me to no end

dh does have low self esteme he is also 450 pounds and going in for the gastric bypass next month to be honest the only reason why i started researching this surgery was for him then i decided that i wanted to do it for myself i asked him if he wanted to go first and he said he wanted me to do it first so that way he can take care of me (which he did) for 2 days then i was fine. dont get me wrong he is definately great support through out my preop diet he was on it with me and did not cheat once. now after i had my surgery he is still watching what he eats but when it comes down to me wearing something a little flattering. it is a different story It also does not help that i am the only female in an all male office. i feel like he wished he went first. but he looks great he has dropped 54 pds in 5 weeks so now he is down to like 402 pds and handsome as ever.

Do you think he even cares? I see he's annoyed. He hasn't lifted a finger to workout since before my surgery when I was dropping some weight. He turns his nose up at me now too. I'm kinda sad about it.

Telly thanks for this thread and you are doing an awesome job. You are a ture inspiration for us. :clap2: :clap2:

Of course your husband cares.....he is seeing that you are getting back your confidence. He remembers what you looked like pre baby and he is feeling a little insecure. He is a man.....you have to cocnstantly reassure him about things.:phanvan

Well it is Monday and I actually gained 1 pound over the weekend...not sure how that happened. Well, Saturday was my first day off the liquids onto mushies, so that may have had something to do with it. Also, I haven't been to the bathroom since surgery. So maybe I am just full of it!

Aww 3loves, these things happen. We can only look back at our weekend troubleshoot and problem solve.

I gained a lb after losing it here and there but I kept pushing till it went down. Never give up my friend. Every day is a new day and a new opportunity to get back on the wagon and try again.

Remember this though, all of us, even Clarissa Flockhart :) will gain a pound back and lose it. It's natural and happens all of the time, to everyone. You are only human.

Last week I was stuck at 219 for soo long, no matter what I did with exercise and eating. Then finally I got over and went to 218 and the bike ride that almost killed me had me lose 2 more lbs. But look, I had to bike what felt like a million miles to get the 2lbs off. Kinda extreme right? Didn't bother me soo much till today. Aye Dios Mio, my butt!

Congratulations Tricia, you deserve a :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: . I know you've been trying for a while now to get into onederland.

Update......

I stayed the same so I am OK with that. This last fill has been up and down from day to day so I haven't been able to get in enough calories everyday.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
