Recommended Posts

hey tellymelly

my first fill is May 20th

my doc wanted to do it the friday before but that is my 4 year anniversary and the DH has a romantic weekend for us so he told me to have fun and he would see me that monday

Doc told me that I lost to much to soon but to be honest I am glad i did that means i am doing it right he also told me the max weight lose for his patients was 19.5 in 2 week and I exceeded it he was proud of me but a little concerned

I told him that I always drank Water but now i cant get enough I am at about 15 glasses a day and in the b-room in between cups lol

but it is a great feeling isnt it...

I have never lost this much weight when i dieted I LOVE MY BAND and happy i did it how about you

you must feel great losing 24 pounds.

Now back to the fills do you have to go to Mexico everytime you need a fill? Is there someone local that can do it for you in a pinch if needed?

Wow Tricia, I can only imagine how frustrating that has to be. SO close!! My only advice, although I'm sure you already know, is just change some things up. If you walk on the treadmill put the incline up a little for a little longer and you should see some difference, and of course try to cut out just a little from your diet...I know we will see a 199 scale picture by Monday, you can do it!!

Ok--I have a little bit of a disadvantage--my period. On Thursday Morning, I weighed in at 255 lbs. I started my period on Friday Morning. Sunday morning, I weighed in at 258.5 lbs. A gain of 3.5 lbs. I have been doing really well on my liquid diet--and I have watched my calories. I even worked in the garden for two hours yesterday, burning lots of calories, I'm sure.

I may have to take this challenge beyond the weekend and weigh when "my little friend" leaves.

Hope you all make it to 2 lbs lost or more!!! You can do it!

I'm with you Tricia! Two pounds are harder to come by than I thought. I really am trying, but I wasn't so prepared and I don't have many good choices in the house. I'm preband and have started my shopping. It's time for things to change around this house. This is a good start. I'm not giving up yet, this is just the beginning! :eekB:

That is super, we are moving right along. I won't tell you guys how much I've lost, we will see at weigh in ...tomorrow.

Tricia and the monthly friend gal :eekB: It's ok. Just keep trying. Never give up. We are all in this together. Muahhhhzzzzz!

What's even better Tricia is you have been able to maintain and not actually gain. That's impressive all in itself.

Oh and when I was on my monthly about a week ago, I gained back 1lb but it's gone now. I wasn't eating anything but I think the chicken broth made it harder for me and I was just retaining soo much Water. Thank god for the sauna suit. I drank lots of Water and wore that suit while I was jogging and yeyyyaaah baby, 2lbs gone.

:clap2: 31.2 mile bike ride today, believe it or not and my arse and my special ...area, numb as hell! I couldn't even sit in my desk chair without yelping! :help:

Thank god it was about 70 - 74 degrees here in Florida and a bit cloudy. It shaded me from the heat and sun, so I didn't sweat too much but it was great but now im sore.

Thanks for the encouragement, Telly. I'm hoping that something will change tomorrow morning. I would even be grateful to see 200.

Good luck, everyone!

Yeah... it's 11.8 to my mom's house, then 3.8 to the end of the major road, so I stopped at moms for a tinkle break and Water for an hour, then down to the end of the road 3.8 miles, then non-stop back home. Let's just say my knees are in pain and my ass is soooo sore! Total 15.6 there and 15.6 back totalling 31.2 miles! My first ever over 15 miles. I did it but im paying for it now. I lost several lbs doing it. You know I had to hop on that scale right after I got home, lmao. Diablo!

Bad thing is, my husband thinks I'm just showing off now, when really I'm trying to lose this weight as fast and as healthily as I can. Exercise and shakes. Im doing great but I wish he would see I'm doing this so we can do more together. (sighs) I just want to be sexier and healthier and more confident. I'd like him to wreep *spelling, the benefits of all this hard work. Do you think he even cares? I see he's annoyed. He hasn't lifted a finger to workout since before my surgery when I was dropping some weight. He turns his nose up at me now too. I'm kinda sad about it.

Wow Tellymelly I experienced that with my hubby today

I went to Lane Bryant to buy size 22's today and i also bought a couple of smaller shirts

so when i came home i tried them on and the dh said to me you are not wearing that to work to sexy

I said to him what is so sexy about a white top with embroidery around the coller

no answer

so i tried on the next top and he said no your not wearing that either i was like why he said to sexy

what the hell i didnt have the surgery to wear sweatpants and oversized shirts i want to feel good about myself

now this is not the way my dh usually acts just last week he said to me that he cant wait to see me in summer dresses. So i am a little upset and dont know what to say to him.......:eekB:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
