donna12 742 Posted May 1, 2013 It all depends on how much you have in your band and whether you can swallow a pill or not. As for me I can't take a large pill so I ask for liquid, for instance Cipro is huge so I can't take it, not sure if it came in a liquid or not but they gave a Zpack instead. kazjim98 618 Posted May 1, 2013 Just because you have a lap band, doesn't mean you can only take liquid or chewables. I am on anti-biotics right now and I'm 4 1/2 months post op. If you are newly banded or tight, pills may be a problem and liquid would be the better choice, but if you are like me, which is neither newly banded or tight, you can take pills...the ones I'm taking right now are horse pills and I don't have any problem with them...Best Wishes 1 donna12 reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
