How long before I get approved?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this site... I just signed up today. I've read a few threads the last couple days and everyone seems so nice and supportive. I'm waiting for my insurance Blue Cross Blue Sheild PPO to approve my case.Just wondering if anyone has this insurance and if so how long they had to wait for approval. Thanks so much. I'm so ready for my journey to begin;)

I have bc bs ppo also and it was approved within a,week after submitting but it took me a year to meet all of their requirements.

I started all the requirements in feb 2013 and all was submitted Friday afternoon April 25th. I'm hoping and praying for a quick approval?

I have the same, after everything was submitted it took about a week to be approved, but they will tell you they have up to 30 days to make a decision.

Thank you for posting and letting me know your experience with bc bs insurance! I feel a bit better and now a bit more hopeful the approval will come sooner rather then later?

I have BCBS- TX and I was told that a BMI of 40 or greater was automatically approved. I am waiting for True Results to send my file over to them so they can start the process. My first doctor's visit was on April 11, 2013, BCBS only required a psych evaluation, which I completed on April 13, 2013. I was told that once that was complete it would go into review and be processed. According to BCBS their reviewers take anywhere from 48-hours to 14 days to make a decision. It could take up to 45 days, but that is extremely rare. My surgery is tentatively scheduled for May 17, 2013.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

GG

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
