I was banded March 27 2013. I have lost 10 pounds since then. 3 weeks after my surgery, the nurse told me that my doctor put the large band around my stomach, although he did tell me before surgery that he was going to definetly put the small one because my bmi was only 31. Weighing 167 pounds. Going back to what the nurse was telling me, she also told me he did put some cc's but couldnt confirm how much it was.

2 weeks later which was my monthly check up, I told the nurse that I feel like was in the yellow zone. There was also confusion, a nurse told me that my doctor did put a small band with 7 cc in it! She adjusted my band and put .5 cc and I feel like there is no different. She was surprised I could swallow. But for some reason when I left was upset that my doctos and two different nurses told me two different things. I still feel like Im in the yellow zone. What should I do? My next appointment is May 6.

Read your chart. Next time you go in ask the nurse to give you your chart. That should tell you exactly what you want to know. FYI, I always read every medical chart for myself and my children.

Yeah they can give me a chart I know that, but the FACT is they're saying two different things with the chart..... They made it a big issue saying how im not having an complications with 7cc....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
