karanicole26 39 Posted April 27, 2013 I had surgery march 14 and I've been doing great and eating as I've been told. Starting about a week ago, though, I'm nauseated all the time. I even wake up in the middle of the night nauseated. Anyone have any ideas why i might get nauseated so much or even think this is from Lapband?
Spaness2012 609 Posted April 27, 2013 Are you still taking pain killers? On liquids? Could you be pregnant? 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
karanicole26 39 Posted April 27, 2013 No painkillers or liquids, and no chance I could be pregnant. I'm thinking it has something to do with what I'm eating.

Spaness2012 609 Posted April 27, 2013 Def discuss with the doc. But I remember when I started solids (eating better...lots of veggies) I too had a little of this happening for a few weeks. Maybe my body just adjusting to new foods, etc. Or maybe just a little stomach virus. Either way...call the doc. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and hely88 reacted to this

debbie221 4 Posted April 27, 2013 I was nauseous and on Zofran for a month following my surgery. My surgeon said I had a lot of inflammation and was a slow healer. It didn't matter what I ate, everything made me nauseous. It eventually went away, but I was really regretting my decision to have the surgery. It's been three years now and I have had periods of being unable to eat, it lasts about a week, and then I go back to normal. Endoscopy shows stomach inflammation. It has only happened twice. My Dr says it is just my body's reaction to a foreign object. You should talk to your surgeon though, because everyone is different. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
line-dancer 810 Posted April 27, 2013 I did the same thing called doctor and got a script for promethazine and always have it on hand just in case but it was gone in a couple of months. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
hely88 883 Posted April 27, 2013 Just curious what are you eating? Are you still doing Protein Shake? Might need one lactose free? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Sojourner 2,446 Posted April 27, 2013 Definitely check in with your surgeon about the nausea. Are you drinking enough fluids? Nausea is a symptom of dehydration. I did not realize this, and ended up in the ER as a result. I recall as a newer Bandster that I was extremely challenged to get the recommended amounts of Water every day...and it never occurred to me that the nausea was because of my dehydration. Hope you feel better...and sipping Water may help you feel better. 3 Spaness2012, hely88 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
