Is popcorn safe to eat, I have had some bad experience with food and I am afraid to try the one in the bags, by Smartfoods.

For me popcorn is a slider. I only will have it as a treat once in awhile, as it doesn't fill me up. But it goes down easy for me.

popcorn is a slider for me as well. Ice cream, pudding, shakes - all aren't sliders, but popcorn is. If we get it at the movies (my fav!) I will eat 1/2 of the bucket. So lately I've been bringing almonds in baggie. Something crunchy that I can control the portion of. At home, I make it in an air popper (never use microwave - have you ever cut one of those bags open before cooking it? It's really gross!) and use real butter (not very much) and salt. Luv popcorn. I only eat it occasionally tho. It never really fills me up

I love popcorn and eat it regularly. I put regular kernels in a brown paper bag and microwave it. I top it with real melted butter and salt. Popcorn is my go to food when I need a boost of Fiber.< /p>

pop corn is added fiber for me. I don't eat it often, and I can't eat much of it, but I still enjoy it. popcorn is definitely not a slider food for me. Everyone is different.

TMI: it helps me avoid Constipation, so I continue to enjoy it sparingly.

My doctor told me not to eat popcorn and besides that its one of those things that are hard to stop eating.

Air popped Japanese hulless popcorn is tasty and low calorie, and also a slider. Once in a while I have to have it, so I use the butter flavor nonstick spray, a bit of popcorn salt, and chipolte or habanero powder. It gets my crunchy salty spicy cravings out of the way without breaking the calorie bank.

I air pop a bunch sometimes and measure it out into baggies for snack. Nothing added so its fairly low in calories and does have some Fiber as others have said.

Try a little and see how it goes. We are all different so always do what works for you.

The spray I use is calorie free, and the spices are also. Just don't use sugars or cheeses and you will be ok without the added calories. Lemon pepper is good too.

popcorn is an ok snack for diabetics with type 2 in moderation and is also a whole grain food that has a slow sugar spike if any at all.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
