lipo of inner thighs

Recommended Posts

I am almost five months post op from a TT and arm lift and I love the results. I just scheduled an appointment to have Lipo done of my inner thighs (my surgeon believes that i can get 75% of the result I want with lipo instead of having to undergo an inner thigh lift). I was wondering if anyone has had just lipo of this area and if so, how was the experience?

Sorry about them being so big...you can open the pictures in a separate window instead of clicking directly on them...

Thanks for sharing. I have often wondered how I will look when I have reached my goal and if I will need/want to have any surgery. You look great. Again thanks for sharing.

Yes, all the procedures I've had done to date (the tt and arm lift) as well as my upcoming Lipo I had to pay for. I did not have any medical reasons (i have not lost more than 100 lbs, i did not have my skin hanging low enough, and i never had any rashes that needed to be documented or treated by a doctor) that would cause insurance to cover it. It really is tough to pay for this work, as it is expensive, but it was definitely money well spent!

I figured that now that swelling has gone down (its been about 7 weeks since I had the Lipo of my inner thighs), I'd post an updated picture. I don't really have a before pic, so here is an after pic. I can't believe I am now able to wear shorts!

That looks great!! I was stalking your thread yesterday to see how you'd gone but couldn't find an update! How much did the surgeon take out?

I'm only 3 days out today but he removed very little from my thighs so as not to leave me with lots of loose skin, but it's an improvement nonetheless! My thighs still touch but they don't really rub anymore. :)

I believe he took out 1400ccs of fat. I do have some loose skin but it definitely is not bad (esp if I feel comfortable in a bikini and shorts). If you are only three days out, you are prob still very swollen...you will look even better in 3-6 weeks!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
