Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted April 26, 2013 you are almost 75% finished with your outbound leg of your ride, and you look down at your computer and it says you are doing 17 MPH and you notice that there isn't any wind in your face So you do what any self respecting roadie would do, you tack on an extra 4 miles to before turning around because after all, you don't really have a choice but to make it back to your car 90 minutes, 23 miles, 16 Mph out, 14 Mph back, 1200 Calories (And too tight to eat more than a smoothie) 2 catfish87 and 2muchfun reacted to this

catfish87 3,471 Posted April 26, 2013 Awesome ride Terry! I know EXACTLY what you're referring to....I always try to check out the flags and ride into the wind the first half. It doesn't take a lot of wind to make a huge difference. 1 KAATNS reacted to this
SageTracey 608 Posted April 26, 2013 Had to convert to metric to understand that was 75km in total - great ride, with or without wind! After my charity ride last week of just under 300 miles in four and a half days, I have great respect for regular long distance riders! (and I want to do more....)
