You can't cut out everything you love. As long as you counted those calories and you don't down the entire bag you will be fine. Honestly, I love donuts, but I now honestly can't eat them. I feel pretty sure their texture would gum up and I would end up PB'ing it back up.

I have learned some things just aren't worth the consequences.

See now I want a Krispy Kreme donut lol....But it's okay if you slip once in a while. The key is recognizing it and not making a habit of eating the "junky" stuff.

That was one of the things that caught me off guard, I would have thought that it would have done that to me as well.

Well, I count the seminar as a success, I only had one donut (a first), and I made up for it by passing on the chocolate cake they served at the luncheon. BTW, the head hunger, kept reminding me of the donuts that were left, it used to be that I would have been duty bound to make sure they were all gone, but the Mistress Band gave me enough will power to stay away from them. Although it was distracting to hear them softly calling my name through out the seminar.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. We always have do overs. Best of luck tomorrow!

90 minutes on my road bike, 23 miles and 1200 calories. I think I paid for the donut

I have been a lapband patient for nearly 6 years. I don't go out of my way to eat fried, greasy, way over the top unhealthy foods but I have what I want. It hasn't hurt me. I try to keep it balanced...life is about balancing.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
