Ok So I'm on my 3rd fill in this 14 cc band. I currently have 8.4 cc in me. I can feel the restrictions for sure!

I heard 8cc is a good number on a 14cc band, can't wait for the next fill which will put me at 8cc - 8.5cc depending on what the doc decides to put in. I am back to the starving feelings and I hate it.

That's great! I had my 3rd fill this previous Wednesday. I have 6.5 cc in a 14cc band. I feel absolutely no restriction at all. Looking forward to my next fill on May 8th, hoping that one will do the trick.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I was on a mini vacation. Yes 8.4cc is VERRRRRRRRYYYYYY restricting. I have to drink slow. Before now, I use to be able to drink at least 4-5 16.9 oz bottles of Water a day. Now Im down to 3 bottles because of how slow i drink . The water will quickly fill you up if youre not paying attention. But YES you must chew very very well. I learned in the beginning when I was chewing some pineapples and i had to hold my arms up for at least 15 minutes before it started to slide down. WHILE JUMPING. LOL but im a pro now.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
