Please let me know how it is. I looked at that same brand when I was in Richmond for my adjustment. I ended up getting Designer whey. I like it' date=' but I like to try a new brand each month. Hope you're doing great. I'm still hoping we can meet for coffee sometime soon.[/quote']

There is a Vitamin shoppe on broad and Libbie near hospital and they have a Starbucks in shopping center. Just let me know when.

Unjury is the best one I have found, It is medical grade. My surgeon actually sells it in his office. Comes in different flavors including an unflavored so you can add it to ANY foods. I can also get it at my local hospitals pharmacy without a script and also on the internet.

It tastes good annnnd low carb to Protein ratio..also it is very good for after workouts since it had essential amino acids in it..also sweetened with stevia and no artificial sweetners!! Actually i found healthy n fit brand in vanilla ice cream flavor so here is a link for that, you may be able to find it a little cheaper somewhere else liked Amazon, but at least now you know it exists!! http://m.iherb.com/healthy-n-fit-100-whey-pro-amino-vanilla-ice-cream-flavor-2-lbs-908-g/17276

Actually, if you click on the link in my previous post you can click on "Choose flavor" and you can buy chocolate or vanilla in 2lb or 5lb tubs..the vanilla is slightly more expensive, but definitely reasonable :)

Thanks for the links. I could not tell from the first one, but the second is too many calories for me. I actually decided not to a shake. Looking for a good bar for after workouts. Every time I drink a shake I get terrible pain in my left shoulder and when I add ingredients it just raises the calories.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
