TaraKaye 44 Posted April 24, 2013 After I drink or eat I have this Hiccup/burp thing that's weird. I don't think it's PBing as nothing is coming up. Just curious if anyone else has this too or if I'm doing something wrong
MiniMi 1,468 Posted April 24, 2013 After I drink or eat I have this Hiccup/burp thing that's weird. I don't think it's PBing as nothing is coming up. Just curious if anyone else has this too or if I'm doing something wrong Mine sounds like a burp and a backwards quack! It kinda hurts too. This usually happens when I have put one bight in too much or if I drink too fast. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Banjo257 920 Posted April 24, 2013 I hiccup when I either eat too quickly or am at the verge of full. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted April 24, 2013 My kids and I call it "hiccurps". It's like a cross between a burp and a hiccup. If I am eating and my band decides I'm done before my cup of food is gone, I get the hiccurps. That's my sign to stop eating or I'm going to regret it. 4 cflick, mrsto, ☠carolinagirl☠ and 1 other reacted to this
this sucks 557 Posted April 24, 2013 For me, that hiccup/burp thing is a "soft stop" sign. It means trouble is coming if I choose to ignore it. Listen to your band and STOP eating when you get the sign! 4 Renee410, MandaMom23, kah1213 and 1 other reacted to this
koolkel 80 Posted April 24, 2013 I have the same thing going on. I just left my doctor's office and she said that is a sure sign that I've eaten too much. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

icebergslim 38 Posted April 24, 2013 Just had my 1 week post-op yesterday and this was my very first question for my nurse! I think I'm drinking a little too fast. I'm so used to guzzling Water, but I need to slow it down with my new band. I just hiccup one time, one really big hiccup, and then I know I need to slow it down. SueBee01 630 Posted April 26, 2013 Yes, a lot of it is air. I had it and still do a little. My dr kept telling me you are eating and drinking too fast. I thought I had slowed down, but not enough. I still have the hardest time not drinking too fast and I am over a year out.
