Noki124 36 Posted April 23, 2013 Not sure what really to expect but a little nervous for some reason. I have to go to two separate appts - anyone else have to do this? 1 PrettyThick1 reacted to this
kll724 3,055 Posted April 23, 2013 Nothing to be nervous about. Only thing about mine was filling out 3 questionaires before the evaluation. 4 PrettyThick1, Noki124, ☠carolinagirl☠ and 1 other reacted to this
KAATNS 1,473 Posted April 23, 2013 Don't be nervous, they are there to help you. Just be honest with your answers and you'll be fine. I found mine to be very basic. Seems that they just want to make sure you have a good support system and things like that. Relax. 3 PrettyThick1, hely88 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Cedri 33 Posted April 23, 2013 It's just finding out what kind of person you are really. The first appt. should be a short interview then the second should be a type of personality test. They really want emotionally stable people undergoing elective surgery instead of people that will have issues post op. Wouldn't worry about it. 3 ☠carolinagirl☠, PrettyThick1 and hely88 reacted to this
jessicawinston 58 Posted April 23, 2013 What is so funny is that I honestly thought i was going to fail it and not get my band. I was banded April 5. 2 PrettyThick1 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Noki124 36 Posted April 24, 2013 Wasn't that bad - asked me questions about my family, background, why I wanted the lap band over the other choices, etc. Easy breezy! Cute little MD too - had to be all of 80! 2 PrettyThick1 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
PrettyThick1 1,860 Posted April 24, 2013 Not sure what really to expect but a little nervous for some reason. I have to go to two separate appts - anyone else have to do this? The psych eval is nothing to be afraid of. They only want to know that you are emotionally stable (no suicidal thoughts or tendancies), have a decent support system and understand the changes you are about to make in your life. Just be yourself, answer the questionnaires honestly (one is 344 questions - mostly the same, just asked different ways) and chit chat a bit with the psychologist and you're good to go. Good luck!!! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
