Hey everyone,

I just started my own YouTube channel about my upcoming surgery next month. I'm going to be tracking my progress every week or every two weeks after surgery. I'm doing a video "blog" to look back on in a year or so to reflect on what I have done. I put a video out just to see what people think and see what responses I would get. I feel like doing videos would definitely help people out!

If you want to check it out search: AmineTheMachine and the video is called Lap Band surgery and info. Look forward to hearing from some of you!!

You're a very well spoken young man. Virtually no ums, uhs or "like" in your speech! Good to have anoter guy on the forum. We've got several here but as you've probably noticed, we're outnumered 10-1 but thats OK. They tolerate us just fine(most do)

Good first video. FYI- for me, 5-6 minutes is about my tops for my attention span. The first one had to be long obviously since it was the setup for future broadcasts. But well done!

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks man I appreciate it!! And yes girls definitely rock the guys on here lol. Yeah I wanted it to be a little shorter and plus I was a little nervous too but I'm glad I did it. I just wanted to see what people had to say about it and hopefully help people.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
