Thanks NTA I really appreciate you tuning in! I try my best to talk straight but I get so nervous and think I sound stupid!! I'm so glad I quit smoking and it feels so good to be able to breathe again! My dad is doing a ton better and hes quit smoking for almost 3 weeks now!

I am feeling a ton better for sure and I feel better than ever and have a smile on my face all the time! I have gotten a lot of stares and man you look good!! in the past few weeks and it just motivates me to do more. I'll be 4 weeks post op this Tuesday!! The biggest things that have motivated me is watching other peoples journeys on YouTube and just looking back at how I was in the past 7+ years. I also want to run a 5k at some point and I have started the training last week.

You just need to find the time if you live a pretty busy lifestyle! Just start out slow and then work your way up and don't try to overdo it!!

I kept a diary from prelap band and I enjoy going back and reading it and seeing what I felt. I need to write in it more. Don't it feel great to be on the other side?? I just need to get started with the exercise part! These last 50 pounds might prove to be quite stubborn to get off!

Yeah I was thinking about keeping a blog but I would rather talk about it lol. Yeah it feels awesome and its going to nothing but positive things in the future!

I was going to mention that you need to have a email account to subscribe to me on youtube. If you have an email address (I'm assuming you do!) and just create an account on youtube and then just go to my channel and click subscribe!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
