Funny, I can't get over how much we four are alike! That's just hecka cool! *laughs*

LSasha - As I was updating, I saw that you had lost 10 pound last week! Your four pound gain this week might be simple Water retention. It happens. You're doing great! Drink all your Water and dont be discouraged!

All members - I think I forgot to update the Honors Page last week. My apologies. I have done the updates to the Members and Honors pages for this week. Everyone check your stats and placements on the Honors page to be sure they are correctly displayed. I've been known to make teeny little errors before... Like reporting that someone lost over 2,000 pounds in one week! *blushes*

Here we go on a brand new week of score cards and weightloss. Everyone really push to do your all-out best this week ok? We had a group loss of 70.1 pounds last week. That's incredible! I know it would be a lot higher if everyone were reporting in. Come on ya losers! Tell us what you've lost! Let's see if we can have a group loss of 100 pounds next week! Yeehaw!

Hello guys and gals.....I need HELP>>>...my eating is ...well ok I will call it out of control......Im still searching for a nutritionist to help me learn this new life that I have decided to get on board with...but no luck yet....but I need easy stuff......I dont really cook and dont have a lot of time either to cook....so can you guys give me some stuff that will give me some variety...I cant afford to get another fill for a couple of months and plus I dont think I may need one, just need to focus on what im eating......

UGGGHHHH...i feel sooo frustrated about this....I feel like Im not doing this right...and hate it......I want to loose again.....

I work hard to get in my water....and I have the exercising down to a pat...with a trainer as well,,,,its my eating I need help with....

Aw, its tough isn't it? Focus on Protein first. Get a minimum of 60 grams per day. Try to get this from solid Proteins that will keep you "full" longer. shakes are ok, but they go through you quickly. Here are some other ideas that should net you between 60 and 100 grams of Protein per day.

Breakfast:

1/2 C low fat cottage cheese and 1/2 C fruit are great for Breakfast and keep me full until lunch. (14 grams protein)

Lunch:

Healthy Choice makes small lunch size meals with meat and mashes potatoes. These take 5 1/2 minutes to cook in the microwave. I sometimes have 1/2 C cooked veggies or fruit with it. (18 grams protein)

Dinner:

Do you like fish? I buy the Gorton's grilled fish fillets (lemon pepper or garlic butter). They are 100 calories each. I have two with dinner along with 1/2 C of cooked veggies. The whole meal takes 7 minutes.

Pour 1/2 cup frozen veggies in a pan, add a bit of Water and a super thin sliver of real butter. Put on burner on High. Meanwhile, lay the fish fillets on a plate, cover with another plate slightly askew to let out steam. Cook in microwave for 7 minutes. By the time the fish is ready, the veggies will be ready too. I pour the veggies in a small bowl then lay the fish over them so I have to eat through the protein to get to the carbs. This meal really fills me up and takes a long time to eat. (34 grams protein for two fillets)

chicken or roast beef can be cooked in the crock pot and eaten with steamed veggies or salad. I dump a bag of frozen chicken breasts in the crockpot, dump a couple of cans of sweet n sour sauce over them, turn them on high and by dinner they are ready. Couldn't be easier. The roast is as simple. Pour some beef broth in the bottom of the crokpot. Lay the raost in and then season with garlic power, onion salt, pepper, seasoned meat tenderizer, etc. Whatever you like. It takes about 5 minutes to throw it in the pot, cooks all day and will make a lot of leftovers.

(4oz chicken 17 grams protein)

(4oz roast beef 35 grams protein)

Snacks:

100 calories bags of Pop Secret popcorn or kettlecorn are great Snacks.

SF Jello or puddings maybe? I stay away from sweets. They only make me want more.

1/2 C Fiber One Cereal with 1/2 C skim milk. (9 grams protein)

If you need more protein, try eating a Starkist tuna lunch pack for a snack. (18 grams protein)

Don't drink with your meals, and try not to for one hour after eating.

These are my daily basics. Hope they help you. I eat between 800 and 1,100 calories per day using these foods. If you'd like a copy of my food journal, I'd be happy to send it to you.

Wow, the scorecards really show where our weaknesses are, don't they. I need to stop sitting on my arse and do my walking everyday! And I've gotten so lazy about my Water. I can see it in my weightloss too! The last two weeks have been sooo slooowww.

i have struggled with upping my Water. i am getting more than the 64oz easily. i drink more water before 9am than most do all day. !ha! but seriously, i do, butmy goal is to drink a gallon and a half. it has been really really hard. the workout i do before the kids wake up. i try not to eat before i work out so that i can burn fat, not food calories. then i am famished for Breakfast and have a nonfat yogurt and Cereal. where my weaknes lies is wanting bread. sugar doesn't bother me. but holy heck i want some sourdough bread. it is killin me!!! this week i am going to try for a perfect week on the bread. i think i can i think i can.

i seem to recal you sharing too much a time or two as well telly. LOL isn't this waht this place is for? saying things you can't express to anyone else in person?

And right now I am all about expressing how crystal clear my pee is. LOL Its one of the joys of weight loss. if i start taking Vitamins it will be gatorade green!

Yeah... LOL, you know I was kidding right? In fact, I talk about Gas. Gas frequency, seismic readings, odor....rofl

No, I'm not that bad but I do talk about weird stuff. I am queen of toilet humor believe it or not.

My tinkle color is more clear than the springs of New Zealand... :cry , than the IV drip they put in my veins at surgery.

AND...Noooo I won't show it here nor will I ever wear a diaper and take pics.

I'm crazy but not THAT crazy.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
