lane85 8 Posted April 20, 2013 I have had my band for 3 yrs now. I was banded may 2010. I have bounced around with my weight a lot. I've been up and down. I have had a hard time following the rules and eating healthy. I find myself tired a lot. I feel as if I am malnourished. I drink a Protein Shake for Breakfast and lunch and then eat a "normal" dinner.... Homemade chili, healthy Soups, chicken dishes etc. maybe I need to add some Snacks in between? Does anyone have any snack ideas? I don't do well with anything very dry as it doesn't go down well. Sometimes I feel so limited to what I can eat and I get discouraged I am doing a work out routine and half the time in have no energy to even follow through. lane85 8 Posted April 20, 2013 know In a post earlier i said I have had my band for 4 yrs but I was mistaken. It has only been 3 yrs. I was worried because I have heard all these ppl talking about dr kuri's band not being good and that's who banded me. I have had no problems so far though
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted April 20, 2013 Sounds like you already know what the problem is, not eating healthy. You shouldn't be havingnso many Protein shakes and eating more solid Protein. If you are so tight nothing goes down, 1. are you taking small enough bites 2. waiting a minute between bites 3. chewing enough? If you're doing those three things maybe you need a small unfill. Sounds like you're eating more slider foods. There's a fine line between having a band just right and being too tight. Are you getting in your 64 oz of Water? Taking vitamens? You really need to make an apt with a Bariatric Dr, or nutritionist. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. 7 kll724, schaunabimler, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and 4 others reacted to this

2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 20, 2013 Ask your fill doctor or your PCP for a referral to a nutritionist. They're trained for this kind of question. I had to pay out of pocket for 6 visits and each visit was only $40. It's more than worth it! Try to make sure the nut is very familiar with bariatric surgery? tmf 3 Maddysgram, Terry Poperszky and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this

CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted April 20, 2013 Sounds like you are not eating enough solid Protein. Could also be Vitamin deficiency. Have you PCP do a complete blood work up and definitely see a Nutritionist to help plan better food choices. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this
lane85 8 Posted April 20, 2013 I don't think I'm too tight. Sometimes I can eat quite a lot and sometimes it's hard to eat. I just have days where I am tighter. I really enjoy my Protein Shakes as they keep me full and are easy to make and very nutritional. Is it bad to drink Meal Replacement shakes?
Fantasy 104 Posted April 21, 2013 My opinion is that you should think about getting a complete physical and blood work done. It could be a number of issues including poor diet. You should be getting at least 60 grams of Protein a day. Besides a physical and blood work see a nutritionist. Good luck.
