2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 17, 2013 I'm nearly 1.5 years out and my port area protrudes and if pushed against a counter or something hard, it's very uncomfortable. sleeping is no problem since we have a pillowtop mattress. My port area was very sensitive for about 6 months but is much less now, so time willing, the discomfort should improve? tmf

The B 96 Posted April 17, 2013 I guess you can look at the up side sleeping on your stomach/face causes wrinkles (not that this is a problem for you, you're really very lovely) but for every night you can't sleep on your stomach, maybe another day between you and those pesky lines!!LOL Good luck I really do hope this works itself out for you and you can feel better soon! 1 2muchfun reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 17, 2013 Is it the pressure against the port? Or, is it the fact it's rubbing on something and the skin is irritated? Being sleep deprived really sucks. LOL...B, I could never get away with the wrinkle comments But yes, she is lovely isn't she. Looking forward to the after photos!! 1 The B reacted to this
balbuquerque 85 Posted April 17, 2013 It hurts but from inside. It was a lot worse and gradually getting better. But I miss holding my hubby at nite. maybe we'll have to rearrange our room because I can turn on the opposite. Side where the port is not. Maybe soon it will get better
phxgirl 16 Posted April 17, 2013 I'm 27 days out too and I slept on my stomach for the first time last night. Things were ok for a while but I noticed that I woke up a lot to turn because it became uncomfortable. It's getting easier to sleep on my side and stomach but not completely comfortable yet, hopefully soon
Suzzie81498 78 Posted April 17, 2013 I cannot lay on my stomach yet either! (Banded 3-21-13.) It is uncomfy- but, I dont sleep on stomach, so doesnt bother me. I have had issues with turning as well..just have to go slow! (2 csections have trained me for this part. Lol) i also prop a pillow under my side that im laying on to alleviate some of the pressure. Hope it gets more comfy for you! P.S.- maybe its time for Hubbs to turn around and cuddle you. :-D .
