They will send your images to a radiologist who will send it to your doc

If they are using a flouroscopy machine, they should be able to see right away. Follow my lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com

i think it depends. Usually they dont want to say anything and send it to dr. However when my wife went they gave her the images walking out the door and told her all was well. I wish you the best!!!!

In my experience, you can see it while they are doing the fluoroscopy. My doc uses it WHILE ADJUSTING THE BAND....hopefully, your's will too.

All looks well it was really interesting with a great explanation. The radiographer measured my present fill and I had lost approx 1 ml again . I drunk the liquid and it showed I had no restriction . He then topped me up to 8 ml and did another X-ray with the liguid still no restriction. Topped me up to just over 9 and It showed good restriction . My port band band and position all show to be correct with no obvious leaks . He was really nice and said he can't rule out a small leak that the X-ray just isn't picking up as I keep losing a ml every time . I'm back at the hospital group any way for a fill on Monday so I will ask her to measure my Fluid again hopefully it will all be there but if not then I have a small leak ! Staying hopeful though !!!! Thanks everyone :0)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
