I'm sure they offer some sort of express delivery. It will inevitably cost more but that's what happens when you wait until the last minute.

Best wishes

I did the appt way back in January not realizing it needed to be ordered; and your post didn't really help honestly, but thanks anyways I guess......

Omfgmelly I hope you find what you need. Best of luck. And btw get use to the fact that there will be some very unnecessary and unhelpful posts.

No offense' date=' but we can't help. You either have to pay for the express delivery or call your doctor's office to see if they have other options.[/quote']

I'm not offended, lucky for me I have a co worker that has had the lap band and she just gave me a box and is Given me 2 more tomorrow- I didn't mean to be rude my apologies

I know, I'm just so flustered and the quitting smoking and finding this out last minute got to me.

I'm not sure what Medifast is? If it's a Protein supplement for Pre-op then can you find something locally that is comparable to it? Or call the office and see what they will suggest. GNC carries a Full Meal Replacement sup. and Isopure Plus Nutritional drink has 15 grams of protein. yes, some posts are less then helpful.

Yes, let's pretend that posts like, "best of luck" as being helpful?

The only obvious answer was express delivery.

Actually your wrong, just got a call from my doctor of other options, but I guess that was my fault for not calling them first instead of posting. Thanks for your reply regardless.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
