hopetolose 192 Posted April 15, 2013 I have heard that over time you will more than likely lose Fluid in your band! What have your doctors said? I asked my nurse that does the fills and she said no. Just wondering if anyone has asked this question of their doctor!

Just wondering if anyone has asked this question of their doctor! Trust your nurse. There are 'theories' that the Fluid can evaporate from the band, no scientific evidence to back it.... If your band leaks, you will loose fluid, but otherwise you will not loose fluid. 2 SeaSounders♥ and Terry Poperszky reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 15, 2013 My doctor said no and I asked him directly. He did say that it can appear that we lose saline in the band since as time goes by, food seems to pass through the stoma with more ease. But that is because our pouches become more efficient at massaging the food through the band. Makes sense to me since the stomach is a muscle and to isolate a small part of the stomach could make that portion of the stomach a stronger more efficient machine? tmf 6 SeaSounders♥, ♕ajtexas♕, jbandster and 3 others reacted to this
