Ok no weight loss in 2 weeks. Im scared because Ive been working out harder than before. Have I reached my plateau? Ok I do have PCOS and I know with this their will be many ups and downs. Plus my journey is fairly new. But Im kind of nervous now. What things can I do to get over this hump? Also what things can I do to get rid of this mid section. My legs and arms are down to where I want them but this midsection isnt going any where. I told my trainer this and she says thats what usually happens first. I dont want to be walking around shaped weirdly.

If you have or dont have pcos can you tell me the things you did to loose your midsection.

Thank you!

2 weeks isn't much of a plateau and yes, you are only in the beginning of your journey. Many more miles ahead for you.

If you are working out harder than before you may need to adjust your calorie intake up a little bit. I had the same issue. I was working out twice a day and the scale was not moving. I added a little more calories to my diet and was down 2.8lbs this last week.

Say what?

I was working out twice a day & eating between 900-1100 calories and the scale was not moving. Last week I worked out the same, cardio in the morning and weight lifting in the afternoon. I started eating 1400-1700 calories, still healthy foods, and lost 2.8lbs.

If I really limit my carbs then I usually have a big loss that week. Follow my lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com

You know, I lost 12 lbs after surgery and then nothing for the next 3.5 months. Then I had a nutrition consult that turned it all around for me. I thought I was eating right but my nut corrected me. Glad I spent the time and money. Getting my 4th fill helped too. Plateau's suck, but you should be measuring yourself to see if you're losing inches? Replacing fat with muscle will make the scale stall but it's a good stall.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
