Onamissionn2013 50 Posted April 13, 2013 Congrats! I'm 5 days post op. No gas pain in the shoulder like some, just rumblings in my belly. Incision pain sometimes when I move, but the abdominal belt is helping that! No fill in my band, and I've had 2 Protein Shakes and broth today. Feeling pretty good! You speak of an abdominal belt....what is that? Where can I get one? 1 Kitt3000 reacted to this
Kitt3000 757 Posted April 13, 2013 Is this like one used for pregnancy?
Onamissionn2013 50 Posted April 13, 2013 Yeah I think it's like the pregnancy belts. I ordered mine from Amazon. It's by Gabrialla and its the abdominal support binder. I got the one with breathable elastic. I've been wearing it around the house and it has helped a lot with the pain I get from my incisions by my tummy moving all the time, I.e., when I climb stairs in my house, sitting in a chair, the bed, the toilet! Of course this is a time I wish I had handicap toilets in the house so I wouldn't have to squat so far down! Lol. Besides my chewable gas-x, this is the best thing I have purchased! 1 marlena_marie reacted to this
bagdon08 10 Posted April 14, 2013 How come I have gained 5 lbs? Before surgery I lost 19lbs in 1 week just following no carbs but since surgery I've gained. I'm not thrilled to see that!

Don't be discouraged about the temporary gain. Everyone's body reacts differently. Follow your doctors instructions and I promise the weight will start coming off. And don't forget...depending on how recent your surgery was...that swelling occurs and will add some weight. Best of luck on your journey.
bagdon08 10 Posted April 14, 2013 Thanks! I am 3 days out. I am just really happy that the gas pains-that my Dr failed to mention have started to subside. 2 marlena_marie and Kitt3000 reacted to this
jbandster 37 Posted April 14, 2013 Oh I know! I got the worst pains from the gas during surgery too! When I woke up in recovery, they were saying I was funny because I was (still pretty drugged) whimpering about having the wrong procedure done...because my stomach didn't hurt and my shoulders were killing me! Lol 2 marlena_marie and Kitt3000 reacted to this
