Depends on if you want to lose weight.

If you want to lose then avoid the chips. If you don't then feel free to eat as many as you want.

Remember there is no LapBand God that say's you can eat this or can't eat that. It is up to you to make smart choices.

I love these. They have Fiber and Protein. I eat the original and I am good with half a serving or less. I never start eating and crave more like most chips.

I just got back off of vacation, since it was vacation and we were traveling I bought a big bag of Screaming Hot Cheetos for myself and BBQ chips for my daughters, I figured by now and with the help of my band I could do Portion Control and I was right, for the first day. Second day not so good. Third day I finished both bags. The band is around my stomach, not my mind. The hunger in my mind is what got me fat in the first place.

So, your question of "can you eat chips", I don't know, can you? I found out I can't and it doesn't have anything to do with my band.

It really depends on what kind of chips you eat. The bean chips have Fiber and Protein so a much better snack then your average grab and go kinds. I bought Special K chips and ate the whole box so I totally understand however I dont have that problem at all with the bean chips and they taste awesome.

Skip the chips...all of them.

They are not filling, do not stave off hunger for a healthy amount of time as a proper snack would do, and are seriously lacking in nutritional value.

IMHO...other's mileage varies...

Never heard of bean chips, but a store not too far from here sells them, I'll give them a try, thanks

I'm with you on this one. Certain foods are trigger foods, and that hand to mouth activity is a setup to fail. I've done that so many times.....start out with a good day, then the next day I go through whatever the food like there's no tomorrow. My suggestion is, if chips are one of your favorite junk foods, stay away! Anything that calls your name & pulls you like a magnet, shouldn't be in your house.

The bean chips to contribute to satisfying my hunger. Again they have both Protein and fiber. Not your average chip!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
