Mandymoo13 111 Posted April 11, 2013 oh yes, all mine pre-op were made with Water. To be honest, once they sat in the fridge for 20 min, I could not tell. Plug your nose and down the hatch! 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and cassandramontes reacted to this
JennaSoto 85 Posted April 11, 2013 Is it because of calories? It is there a medical reason? I put in a call to my Dr to ask. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
elcee 3,341 Posted April 11, 2013 The ones I used had to be mixed with Water. Most have some kind of "milk" powder in them already and yes it is because of calories. It might be hard but the preop is only a short period of time, best to suck it up and just get on with it, it will be over before you know it. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
megamomnj 334 Posted April 11, 2013 My pre-op were with Water. I just tried to get them down as fast as possible. Now I use unsweetened almond milk. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
hely88 883 Posted April 11, 2013 I hate shakes with Water. I use skim milk and I know people use almond milk. Maybe ask if you can use the almond milk its very low in calories.
Aqusis 16 Posted April 11, 2013 Preop was Water, could use milk post op. I used nectar Cookies and cream. It was good with slightly warm water.

koolkel 80 Posted April 11, 2013 I make mine with unsweetened almond coconut milk( yes! They make a combination one, Blue Diamond brand) It's thinner than milk but tastes SO good. BUT if your doctor requires Water you should follow her/his instructions.
JennaSoto 85 Posted April 11, 2013 I will do what he says but I am going to call and ask for sure.
