I just checked your profile and you were just banded April 10, so yes for awhile you are going to be weak and tired, not unusual.

Follow your Drs orders, make sure you're sipping enough Water and rest when you get weak.

If you are not cleared for Protein Shakes, call your surgeon and talk with them.

Your profile says your surgery was April 10,2013 and today is only the 9th of April.

When were you banded???

April 10th. The energy question was a general question. Some people drink energy drinks, coffee, etc.. I am looking for healthy ways to have energy post banding. For instance, I love greens plus for the energy, but the taste is not so good. Right now I can drink an 8 oz glass of Water and greens 1/2 and 1/2, so I can get past the taste. If I understand, after banding, I will no longer be able to do this, just sip. But how in the heck can you get 64 oz a day down by sipping? What am I missing with the word sip? To me that means " wetting" my mouth not drinking.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
