i am always supportive of others and there experiences Although i sympathize with what she went through, it still no reason to write incorrect information. We can "assume" the reason why he removed it... but to say that he removed it because it caused it... is miss-given information and for anyone to come and plant information that is not correct.. it has to be pulled like a bad weed.

we come her to talk about our experiences and to learn from others. I have learned a lot here and have been corrected many times... i take that correction and use it to my advantage. I don't get defensive and i don't take it too heart... i learn from it... Just like today.. you learned that the LB does not cause gallbladder disease...

Really...is there any need to be so defensive, so what if she was misinformed. We are all humans and her story wouldn't sway someone to have their band removed. It's a personal choice, just saying. I don't understand why people have to always starting conflicts. If you can't say anything nice, um keep it to yourself. Others really don't care to hear it. Rant over! No need to reply I could care less.

You do care are you would not have posted. So what if she was misinformed true, but when you post it on a forum that people come too for answers and guidance. I have a problem

With that. How do you know that her post won't influence some one. You are assuming that. No one come he to start conflict, but its a forum. There will be conflict. I will not stand by and have people give incorrect information and I will not keep my mouth shut. How do you know what people want to hear. If you don't want to hear what I say... Block me, problem solved.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
