Mary Johnson 5 Posted April 1, 2013 I am 3 days in with my Lap Band. The doctor gave me liquid Hydrocodiene for pain but for just general pain (headache) is it ok to take a tylenol that is non liquid form? Are gel caps better?

hely88 883 Posted April 2, 2013 You can take tylenol but not with or near your pain meds because I think that has Tylenol in it. Definately ask dr or pharmacist. Never rely on forrum for those types of questions. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted April 2, 2013 I take CVS brand liquid adult tylenol for headaches. My doctor's office said that gel caps where ok because they start to dissolve immediately and will go through the band fine. But, check with your doctor to see what they advise. 2 Cleo118 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
hely88 883 Posted April 3, 2013 Unfortunately I take a lot of medications. I never had any trouble after surgery. Instead of taking all at once which I still do today while I was healing I just had to take one at a time and I waited about a minute in between. A side bar about Tylenol. I am only allowed to take this. I always take the arthritis stregnth. For some reason CVS only carries their brand right now which works for me fine. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted April 4, 2013 agree with Ms Maui and AJ and any others who advise to check/ask your doctor in regards to what type/kinds of medicine you can use. that is best thing.
