KarenElaine 44 Posted March 30, 2013 I'm in information overload. I respect his approach. I've got a lit if work to do, which I expected. To start, I have to start immediately with 30gms of carbs per day. Good holly Molly! That's not going to happen overnight. But my husband is being very supportive and I plan on getting there as soon as possible. 1 aeromech reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 31, 2013 Cutting down carbs to that level will probably entail eating nothing white. bread, rice, Pasta, potatoes especially. Are you also on a liquid diet? If so make sure your Protein Shakes are low carbs. Some are not. Good luck. The work is worth it in the end! 1 aeromech reacted to this

I did cut all carbs, no potatoes, no bread, no rice, nothing made with white flour, all sugar as well in the first week. Second week I continued the same and substituted a Protein shake for Breakfast. Then pre-op diet started and was all shakes all the time for 2 weeks with a lean protein(4-6oz) in case I absolutely had to chew something. It made for a much easier transition doing I that way. 1 CHEZNOEL reacted to this
