braziliangirl 72 Posted March 29, 2013 Hey guys. I'm on creamy Soup, and i had an "idea" of making my creamy cornmeal soup to try, as is loaded with Proteins.< /p> Well, it was liquid in a the same consistence (or even more liquid) than my cream of wheat. Somehow, once i eat i started to freak right when i looked at my plate with the left over and the rest became sooooo thick like "polenta".. Its been almost 2 hours that i ate, and i'm feeling this pressure, fullness feeling around my stomach area.. (Not my chest as i read it could happen).. What if the soup stuck down there? ???«??? Oh God im scared to go to bed now! Ps. Im not salivating, had burped a couple of times and again, im not feeling any pain, just feeling full.. (Or it could be just my head?!? Lol)

Banded Dan 9 Posted March 29, 2013 You're ok. It is all in your mind! Just go back to liquids for at least 24 hrs.
Debbie3sons 1,936 Posted March 29, 2013 I had to be on Clear Liquids the first week , or just broth , at least that's what the Papers the Doctor gave me said and so did He then I could do a little juice watered down , I don't know if your Doctor gave you the lapband diet but you can look it up on line and print it out also maybe it will help. catfish87 3,471 Posted March 29, 2013 You're probably just full? I like polenta, but know that IF, which I didn't, I had tried it a week after surgery, I'd have felt the same thing....my first couple baby bites of mashed potato's about the beginning of the third week post op, I felt that fullness. Unless you let it cook/soak for quite a while before you ate it, it may have swelled some. Especially if you drank something afterwards. If it was as thin as you describe, it should have went straight through the band area and into the stomach. Take it easy for the rest of the evening and I'm sure you'll feel better in the morning. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

kll724 3,055 Posted March 29, 2013 Calm down, if you think that you overate, or ate something too soon after surgery, go back to clear liquids. best wishes, Karen
OnMyWay2Thin 45 Posted March 29, 2013 I'm hoping that you woke up this morning feel good and confident again. After reading your post, I think you may have overeaten, just a little. That gave you a feeling of too fullness. You didn't overeaten a lot because then you would have ended up vomiting and in severe pain. What you describe should go down, but slowly. I'm thinking by this morning, you will be feeling yourself again. Good luck!
ChicagoRose 650 Posted March 29, 2013 Congrats! Isn't it wonderful to actually feel full from a little bit of solid food? The first time I ate a full cup of mush I too felt full and freaked out, so you are totally normal. As I go, I am almost four weeks out, I am really learning more and more about my body and it's cues. Good luck!!
braziliangirl 72 Posted March 29, 2013 Well, i just woke up. i'm feeling better but that sensation of being punched in the stomach is back. (I had it for the first day of Surgery until day 4) Last night i had to take some prilosec, i vas having that burning sensation i used to have before surgery with my reflux. I dont know, i'm just sooo scared that i may have ruined my pouch or stitches inside... It all could be mind too, as i had a terrible day yesterday, lot of stress, too many bad things happened plus i got my period.. I dont know.. Just a thought... But one thing i learned, i will never eat that Soup again lol
