I hate mornings

Recommended Posts

I'm so sick of getting stuck on anything I attempt in the morning. The rest of the day is fine but mornings are impossible.

I start my day at 6am and I don't eat until 9am. I'm just not that hungry in the morning. I think my band is tighter too in the morning but I take this time to get some of my Water in.

My Dr. told me to get used to drinking a Protein shake for Breakfast for the rest of my life :D

I'm having the same issue. If I try to eat anything with subsistence in the morning or when I first get up I am getting sick!

That's a great idea drinking a Protein shake in the a.m. I can't eat anything until at least by 1-2 p.m. But I don't get up till 10 a.m. :)

the 2 scoops fill me for 4-6 hours. This morning I used more than usual ice cubes and it was super thick and I liked that much better, also.

I only ever have a shake for Breakfast. Unfortunately I've also been getting stuck on those in the morning lately. Not fun. I'm not thinking I'm too tight only because the rest of the day I'm great. I had a hot cup of mint tea this morning and that seemed to help make it less tight.

I am very tight in the morning. I even have to go very slow with the Protein Shakes. I loosen up around noon, but it is very uncomfortable until then.

I'm very tight in the morning as well. Usually a cup of coffee around 7:30am and Breakfast around 10am. I've started doing Protein Shakes in the morning with frozen fruit to replace the ice cubes because the earlier you eat, the earlier your metabolism starts kicking into gear. Try something warm to help ease the band a bit. It seems like a lot of bandsters do this with success.

I have a Protein Shake with 1 or 2 scoops every morning. So I don't get bored, I switch up by adding different fruits.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
