Does anyone have trouble walking and eating? Just about every morning I throw up. If I eat anything like 2 bites of grits or half a banana it comes up after that Im fine so the doctor gave me an X-ray and everything was fine. I take the acid reflux pills it don't seems to help, and I really can't keep anything down til after 11am. Anyone ever had these problems. If this keep up I think I'm gonna have it removed

I've seen where many people have problems with bananas. You've never had a fill so it could be you've never learned to eat the correct way with the band? I know nothing about grits but seems like it's a slider food but could have some difficulty squeezing across the band if eaten too big or too much?

I know most of us have had fills and it's an ongoing re-education process to learn to chew big and eat small. Is it possible your doctor filled your band with a few CCs at surgery? Many do?

I've heard that lots of people can't eat in the morning, due to their band being tight. Have you tried having something warm to drink, like tea or coffe, and then trying to eat an hours or so after that?

All of the above.....

My band is always very tight in the morning. Dr says its from Fluid from laying down. A have hot tea or hot chocolate and it helps. Most the time its 10:30- 11 am before I can eat.

Haven't tried bananas b/c what I've heard here.

I can get stuck in the mornings myself. I sometimes wonder if it takes a while for my stomach to wake up? I know I eat sometimes just because 8:30 am is a convenient time for me to eat before the day starts rolling. Waiting beyond that time interferes with my day and I know eventually I'll be very hungry and that's when I make mistakes.

I can see how laying orizontal all night can allow fluids in our bodies to migrate more.

My band is way tight in the morning too! I seem to not be able to eat until late in the day and my biggest meal seems to be at night which is the worst time to eat. Wish it would be loose in the am and more restricted in the pm. Even though I'm struggling I still feel successful and I try to appreciate my band. However, still learning how to eat and chew my food-so hard for me! On the 7th of this month I hit 2 years post-op and have kept about 100 lbs off but it sure hasn't been easy. Every meal lately seems to be a struggle. Just found this site and thank you all for sharing your stories and advise!

I got 5ml removed from my band this morning, so far no vomiting. I hope that was the problem. Now I have no restrictions. Hopefully everything goes well with that

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
