sxybk 10 Posted March 25, 2013 I have a guestion ,bein dat i lost weight fast on the veg n liquid diet in da being , is it safe to keep doin dat type of diet ..
OnMyWay2Thin 45 Posted March 25, 2013 Good question. It's probably safe for a short period of time, but do you really want to reteach yourself to eat like that? I always tell myself and my husband, I'm not on a diet, I'm changing the way I eat. So, the question is, for you, is this a realistic way to eat for the long haul? If it is, then maybe. The only concern is how you are getting in your Protein. Remember, you want protein because that keeps you strong and promotes weight loss. You wouldn't want your body to adapt that low calorie level so that when you begin eating again, you gain. Following the rules given to you by your doctor or nutritionist is probably the best way. Good luck, regardless of what you decide!

Maddysgram 6,159 Posted March 26, 2013 sxybk, did you surgeon give you a diet to follow? If so, you need to follow that. If they didn't you need to call them and ask for instruction. When you're first banded, everyone goes threw different phases, liquids, mushies and solid food. I wonder where your Dr wants you? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Summerrain 520 Posted March 26, 2013 I juss had my band put in 12days ago .. im on a liquid diet ' date=' n due to da nutritious the end of the week, iam in it to win it ,but its tough. Thanks for ure advice [/quote'] I agree the liquid phase is tough but it gets better and once you meet with your nutritionist she will guide you. Like one of the above posters said its going to be a new healthier way of eating, no more dieting, that's why I had the lapband, Yoyo dieting made me fatter and fatter and even though I succeeded at first I eventually failed and put back on all the weight lost them some. Now I've mentally retrained myself that no food is off limits and in moderation but honestly I no longer crave junk, just good Protein with lots of veggies and salads and feel so much more healthier and energetic. You can do this and when you look in the mirror in 12 months time youll see how worth it it has been. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
