arainey77 34 Posted March 24, 2013 Ok I don't get a fill until April 16th but for the past few days in the morning and at night I have felt like I can't breath as well. I have asthma and it kinda feels like I need my inhaler but I haven't really needed it for awhile. So I was wondering if maybe my band is just tight and I am misreading what's going on????? What does it feel like?
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted March 24, 2013 I don't think even a tight band would effect your breathing. I have heard of colds and sinus infections tightening your band, but not the other way around. Time to call your Dr or use your inhaler or both. It is allergy season and maybe that is effecting your asthma? Good luck and hope you get this cleared up soon. A tight band hurts in your upper chest and its hard to eat or drink anything. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
Luka Beth 78 Posted March 24, 2013 At support group it was explained that band tend to feel tighter in a.m. because the Fluid shifts when you lay down.they suggest drinking warm liquids in a.m. before eating and this helps. You can get Decaf tea bags and try for a few days to see if this helps.
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted March 24, 2013 Luka Beth is correct in a large majority of bansters have a tight band in the morning. Me being one of them. I drink Diet hot chocolate to relax my band. Breathing is a different issue. 2 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Is this just a personal choice or is there a reason that coffee or tea would not be as good? I'm curious if caffeine has any connection. Gosh, so much to learn. . . . . 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Gosh, so much to learn. . . . . Yep, personal choice. I also like hot Chai tea also. Any warm drink helps. My Dr. does not allow caffeine. 2 flrosie and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

I switched to Decaf several years ago because it helped my blood pressure. Then I began to drink tea, until I saw the stats on how much caffeine was in my tea, then switched to a decaf version of that, too. -sigh- 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
