He took all he put in the day before out. Since then it has been very slow for me. I feel weak. I'm able to drink a little Water at a time but this is now day two. I have only had 1/2 cup of Soup juice twice. My throat hurt when i drink or try to eat soft food. Tried yogurt this even and after 30 min. only been able to eat a couple spoonful. You are swollen from irritation and should be on liquids. My Dr. usually puts people in this situation on liquids for about a week.

Take it easy and you will go back to normal.

Yep, liquids until the swelling goes down. Being we are not Drs, you should give them a call and see what they advice. After all, they make the big bucks.

My surgeon's office says we need 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after a fill/unfill. Try to go on liquids for a day or 2. Good Luck to you! Karen

Liquids definitely. Once aggravated the area around the and will swell and you really have to give it a rest.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
