Do you find it makes a difference in your weight loss if you drink plain Water vs using flavor packets (sugar-free, calorie-free, and caffeine-free)?

I have not noticed a difference, but drinking more Water is more benficial in the long run. If I crave something sweet, sometimes I mix water with a sugar-free hawaiaan punch packet or crystal light.

I was never a Water drinker so I always mix my water with something! I usually keep a pitcher of Crystal Light lemonade in the fridge and add a little peach tea or strawberry watermelon Mio to my glass before I pour the lemonade in. Try to mix it up so I am not drinking the same thing every day. I also add powder Fiber to my water. I do think that the more water you drink the less hungry you are or become.

I have not and I'm like Sue and have to mix something in my Water. I also keep a pitcher of Crystal Light Lemonade and a pitcher of one of their tea mixes in my fridge at all times :).

I drink about 12 cups of hot tea or iced tea a day. I brew my own iced tea with Decaf bags and my hot tea is either. I use sweetener, though. I over drink and pee all night.

Artificial sweetener like Splenda, etc?

I always used Splenda but now mostly use Truvia because it is suppose to be better for you.

I do about 1/2 Water and 1/2 sugar free Water options. Have not ever had a problem or a stall with either or. The largest stall comes from not getting enough fluids in during the day.

Both have been helpful.

I started using nectresse by splenda its all natural, can't taste it like you could with Splenda..cuz i used to use splenda...also be careful with things like crystal light, check the labels..i know crystal light in particular contains aspartame..not sure about the other brands

I drink a lot of plain Water and usually one low calorie Gatorade. I find if I drink too much powder drinks it irritates my mouth.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
