DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 23, 2013 Unfortunately not a lot. Protein Shakes help but it's going to be tough until you progress further in your post op diet. 3 zinhaa, Maddysgram and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

zinhaa 363 Posted March 23, 2013 I agree with Missy. Drink lots of Water, sf Jello ice pops and do things to take your mind off it. For example, polish your nails, knit, crochet, etc Good luck wendy

CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 23, 2013 Keep yourself occupied. That way the head being idle won't pretend it is hungry! You have come this far. You can do it! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
balbuquerque 85 Posted March 23, 2013 Thank you everyone. I'm on the third day so I will introduce the Jello to my diet. That should help. Sent from my iPhone using LapBand
mrsto 2,925 Posted March 24, 2013 Can someone tell me if butternut squash soup/bisque is considered a full liquid? I'm only on day one of full liquids, and I'm already disgusted with cream of chicken and mushroom Soup. I picked up the butternut squash soup (no solids in it), but then thought that maybe it's not acceptable.
klm1648 19 Posted March 24, 2013 I was on liquids about 2 weeks ago because my band tightened on its own due to stress and I decided to get creative with the liquid diet. One day I bought some won ton Soup from Pei Wei and blended it in my vitamixer, it was amazing. Also, look up some low-calorie smoothie recipes. coffee helps too, the caffeine curbs your appetite. I also worked with unsweet almond milk, low fat soymilk and unsweet coconut milk for smoothies as well. Remember, a lot of what you are feeing is mental, you just went through a big change and your body is barely adjusting. Stay positive, focused and busy but also remember that you are changing your lifestlye so even though you will eat differently, the same habits will still want to take over. I know you will do great! brianb 81 Posted March 26, 2013 Another post earlier recommended almond milk. If you find that regular milk is giving you gas pains (as it seemed to do for me), you might give that a shot. Highly recommend staying true to the liquids as long as you can stand it. I was supposed to be on Clear Liquids for two weeks, but with the 2 week pre-op liquid diet, just didn't have the will power to go that long. I made it 8 days post op before caving and going to mushies. Hang in there!
